Castlevania problem!
I just got a bunch of NES games and I was trying them all to see if they worked. Some issues getting them to start, wondering if that's the games or the system (i've cleaned the games and just finished cleaning the system/bending the 72-pin connector to their original positions). Some games won't work if I put them all the way in, and some only work if I put them all the way in. I usually have to sit there for a few minutes trying to find the one perfect position the game plays in. Your guesses to what the problem might be?
Anyways, on to the Castlevania problem! When I start the game, everything is fine and dandy but when I start a new game the bar at the top of the game acts as if it's frozen in one place and doesn't follow Simon around as I walk left or right. Here's a little demonstration I made with mspaint (note that I only used a screenshot I found on the internet and then edited to illustrate my problem with the top bar): At first it would look like this: ![]() Then when I would walk Simon forward the top bar would disapear: ![]() Untill it is completely gone: ![]() Then when I continue walking the top bar finally reapears: ![]() This just continues to cycle throughout the game, which makes it pretty annoying to play. What do you think the problem might be? I've cleaned the game and like I said I've just cleaned the system as well as restoring the 72-pin connector... |
